Sledge hockey - wheelchair basketball - sitting volleyball - accessible and wheelchair sports
(Toronto Accessible Sports Council)
Have you ever tried wheelchair sports or other accessible sports?
Thanks to the new Toronto Accessible Sports Council, you'll be able to participate in wheelchair sports like: sledge hockey, wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball, wheelchair tennis and wheelchair lacrosse.
There are also other accessible sports like adaptive yoga, accessible Track & Field, Boccia, accessible Soccer, and accessible Softball.
And the sledge hockey goes all year long, with ice sledge hockey in the winter and Roller Sledge Hockey in the summer.
This summer, you'll even be able to try out sailing, and gliding.
Prices are very reasonable, and there are programs scattered around the city for easier access.
The Toronto Accessible Sports Council (TASC) is one of six Community Sport Councils of the Toronto Sports Council.
It was established to unite disability organizations across the city that provide sport and active living opportunities.
Thanks to the Toronto Accessible Sports Council, athletes with a disability in Toronto can now take advantage of shared resources with integrated program planning and delivery.
